Come to the Baha'i Booth at 2019 Festival of Faiths

This year, the Baha'is will have a booth at the 2019 Festival of Faiths.  The theme is "Embracing Religious Diversity".  The Festival is sponsored by the Center for Interfaith Cooperation.  It is the Midwest's largest one-day celebration of religious diversity and vitality.  Come down and help us work the Baha'i booth, give out literature, and talk to people about Baha'u'llah and the Baha'i Faith.  We will also be handing out flyers for the celebration of the Birth of the Bab Bicentenary Celebration.

Southern Indiana Baha'is to gather for Unit Convention, Oct. 5

Baha'is from the Indianapolis area and including the rest of southern Indiana will gather on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019 for the annual unit convention.  This is an important part of the Baha'i Electoral process where one Baha'i will be chosen through secret balot to be a delegate to the National Baha'i Convention in April, 2020 in Wilmette, IL.  Members of the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha'is of the U.S. will then be elected at the National Convention.

Indy Area Baha'is to Participate in Habitat for Humanity Build

For the second year in a row, Indianapolis-area Baha'is will participate in a Habitat for  Humanity Build.  Our participate will occur on Friday Oct. 18, 2019 and will focus on exterior siding and trim work.  This is an interfaith build so Baha'is will be working along side of members of other religious congregations.

Indiana Baha'i Summer School - July 25-28, 2019, Waycross Center

We are excited to share that plans are underway to host the Indiana Bahá’í Summer School 2019.  The sessions will run from Thursday evening, July 25th to Sunday afternoon, July 28th. We will be at the same facility as in recent years, the Waycross Camp and Conference Center, Morgantown, IN.  With classes for children, youth and adults, accommodations to meet a wide range of needs, devotions, arts and recreation for everyone, the program will inspire all who attend.  The program will focus on learning about 'walking together towards racial harmony'.

Celebrating Earth Day 2019 with showing of PBS Climate Video

The Baha'i Community is celebrating Earth Day 2019 by a 2nd showing of the PBS/NOVA documentary: "Decoding the Weather Machine".  This will occur Monday, April 22, at 7pm, at the Indianapolis Baha'i Center.

Greenhouse gases are being released and the climate is changing.  What can Baha'is and their friends do to help mitigate the impact?

The first step is to educate ourselves.  Watching this PBS/Nova documentary, "Decoding the Weather Machine" is a great first step.

New Compilation Released on Prayer and Devotional Life

A new compilation has been released of Extracts from the Writings of Baha'u'llah, the Bab, and 'Abdu'l-Baha and the Letters of Shoghi Effendi and the Universal House of Justice on the topic of "Prayer and Devotional Life"

Join Us for Race Unity Day 2019!

Race Unity Day is a special day to celebrate the oneness of humanity and embrace unity in diversity. Join us June 9, 2019 at 3 pm-6 pm to celebrate with a day of fun, discussion, guest speakers, food, and music!  The theme this year is "We Are All One Family and Every Culture is Cherished."

All are welcome ... adults and families.  Free admission.

Celebrating 200 Years Since the Births of Baha'u'llah and the Bab

This year, people around the world celebrated the 200th anniversary of the birth of Bahá’u’lláh, Founder of the Bahá’í Faith and the Divine Educator for this age. Although many have not yet heard the story of this Divine Messenger, the echoes of His rich spiritual and social teachings reverberate around the globe.
