Baha'i House of Worship Reopens July 1, 2021

Location

Indianapolis, IN

It gives us great pleasure to share with you the joyous news that the Bahá’í House of Worship and its Welcome Center in Wilmette, Illinois, will reopen on July 1. After more than a year of being limited to visiting only the Temple grounds, visitors seeking the sanctuary of the Bahá’í Temple will once again be able to pray and meditate under the sheltering dome of that sacred spot.

For the initial phase of reopening, the hours for the House of Worship will be from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily. The Welcome Center will be open five days a week: Wednesday, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Thursday through Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The bookshop inside the Welcome Center will close one hour earlier, at 5:00 p.m. In view of current conditions, there will be no mask requirement inside the Temple, but we encourage those who are not vaccinated to use masks both there and in the Welcome Center. Answers to further questions may be found by visiting the House of Worship website or by contacting the Activities Office at the House of Worship (how@usbnc.org; 847.853.2300).
