Location
The West Side Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program, located on the west side of Indianapolis, began in the summer of 2014. It currently consists of 5-8 junior youth between the ages of 11-14. This particular group happens to be all male. All but two of the young men live in the neighborhood that we meet at every Saturday from 11am to 1pm. This multicultural group includes junior youth from the Indianapolis area as well as junior youth that have immigrated from Thailand, Eritrea and Sudan! During our gatherings we play games, we talk about some of their personal challenges, and we study material from Breezes of Confirmation. This group of young men is very well behaved, very kind, energetic, fun, and eager to learn. These young men also come from very enthusiastic and supportive families that believe in the promise of this program.
